Wellspring sponsors a family of a mother and 5 children from

Afghanistan providing:

          Medical and dental supervision

          Tutoring

          Cultural Transitions

•  CHILDREN AND FAMILY URBAN MINISTRIES

Our parishioners supply the food and do the cooking and serving for a meal one Friday every other month for 120 men, women, and children in the River Bend neighborhood

•  WHYLD GIRLS

An after school program in association with Children and Family Urban Ministries:

Our bi-vocational pastor coordinates programming and activities

Several parishioners serve as mentors

•  DES MOINES AREA RELIGIOUS COUNCIL FOOD PANTRY

"Ministry of the Pennies":  We collect pennies and change, as an offering each month and donate the yearly total to the Food Pantry

Each month parishioners purchase a $5 sack of groceries at Dahl's or Hy-Vee

to be put in the Food Pantry red barrels, at the store locations.
